Daniel Peterson, PhD
Daniel has published widely on a variety of geopolitical and legal issues pertaining to Southeast Asia and the broader Indo-Pacific region. He has consulted to advisory firms, law firms, and government. He has also lectured on Southeast Asian politics at several UK universities, and delivered guest lectures at universities across Europe. He speaks and writes Indonesian fluently, is a qualified lawyer (Australia), and is an Associate of the Centre for Indonesian Law, Islam and Society at the University of Melbourne. Daniel is also the author of Islam, Blasphemy, and Human Rights in Indonesia: The Trial of Ahok (Routledge, 2020).
